Destiny 2 just wrapped up its console betas on Monday. PC gamers across the world are waiting in anticipation for their own beta to release. According to the latest TWAB, the Destiny 2 PC Beta is set for launch on the 28th of August, 2017.
What are the Destiny 2 PC Minimum Specs?
According to Bungie, the minimum specifications for the Destiny 2 Beta are as follows:
|Hardware||Minimum spec||Recommended spec|
|CPU||Intel Core i3-3250 or AMD FX-4350||Intel Core i5-2400 or AMD Ryzen R5 1600X|
|GPU||NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 2GB or AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB||NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 390|
What Was Bungie Using?
At the Destiny 2 Reveal (DRE to Bungie insiders) the team used high-spec machines to run the game. While the Destiny 2 PC minimum specs do state that a low-end (relatively) GPU should suffice, builders should be warned: if you want to see a smooth, beautiful 1080p 60fps Destiny 2, this will not work for you.
Bungie’s own machines ran a high-end Intel Core i7-7700k processor paired with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti 11GB GPU. Their PCs all ran the game at a smooth 60fps with no problems whatsoever. Keep this in mind when upgrading your current machine.
